In high school I had a terrible crush which led to my first foray into songwriting. I tried to capture a sense of the times playing a Gretsch baritone guitar.

In college there were affairs that didn’t work out due to a harsh reality. Sometimes there is nothing you can do but write a song. The acoustic rhythm line was played on
A Takamine Santa Fe.
Living and working in the material world. I played a G&L S-500 on this track.
At some point we have to make the decision to follow the crowd or go our own way.
Rhythm was played on my Takamine and Scotts Martin guitar, lead on the Duesenberg.
I bought an old sailboat and sailed away for a couple of years with a courageous woman. We didn’t have a lot, but we lived a lot. I used the Gretsch again here with the Duesenberg in lead.
Wind and Rain
As way led onto way I found myself riding horses in Arizona. I met my future wife at a horse show. She loves Palominos. This song is a tribute to her. I used the Duesenberg here.
There was a feral cat that lived in the backyard. He would never let you touch him, but if I played music on the patio on my flute or guitar he would lay nearby and listen.
I played my old G&L Comanche on this track.
